On April 8, 2023, MORGAN STYLE launched its new Tabitha furniture collection, drawing industry attention. Inspired by the Bugatti Chiron supercar, this series seamlessly blends the streamlined design of hypercars with the comfort of furniture, with British furniture designer Matt Arquette at the creative helm.
As the lead designer of MORGAN STYLE, Matt Arquette holds a BA Hons Degree in Furniture Design and has spent years in the industry, adhering to the philosophy of "Design from Life, design for life!" He excels at drawing inspiration from life, integrating cutting-edge aesthetics with practical functionality. In the Tabitha series, he injects Bugatti’s "luxury, innovation, and extremity" into furniture design, creating sculptural and futuristic pieces through exaggerated C-shaped contours, metallic details, and zebrawood veneers.
"The essence of design is balancing aesthetics with functionality," Matt Arquette said of his creative approach. "Every piece of furniture should be an extension of lifestyle, meeting practical needs while evoking emotional resonance." Take the Tabitha sofa as an example: its 3D sculptural design pays homage to the dynamic lines of hypercars, while Italian imported leather provides unparalleled comfort. Metallic accents continue Bugatti’s mechanical aesthetic, endowing the furniture with industrial texture and artistic tension.
Matt Arquette’s cross-border designs have not only expanded MORGAN STYLE’s market reach but also redefined modern furniture aesthetics. His work has received international acclaim, positioning him as a pioneer in bringing automotive industrial aesthetics to home furnishings. Through this collaboration with Bugatti, he once again proves the boundless potential of design, using furniture to tell the story of speed and passion, and delivering an unprecedented visual and tactile experience to consumers.
